Bacon and Egg
If you ever find yourself in the three Michelin star restaurants of world-famous chefs, you’ll no doubt be chomping at the bit to taste their famous bacon and egg ice cream. For those who like a bit of crunch too, the chef of the Fat Duck restaurant serves this treat with a slice of fried bread too!
Japan is the home of strange flavors, but there is perhaps none stranger than their squid ink ice cream. As if the flavor isn’t striking enough, the jet black color of the stuff on top of your cone is bound to draw your attention!
The town of Gilroy in California is world-famous for its garlic, and one of the many garlic-based treats enjoyed there is garlic flavored ice cream. If you fancy a couple of spoons of this creamy treat, you’ll need to get yourself down to the Gilroy Garlic Festival where it’s available for sampling.
If you’re in France, and have a bit of cash to spare, you might fancy a taste of this delicacy. Flavored with liver of duck or goose, this ice cream will set you back over $150 a serving. For that price, you don’t even get a cone!
Raw Horse Flesh
To round of this delicious menu, we’re back in Japan again. Also known as Basashi Ice, this “delicious” blend of vanilla and raw horse-flesh is a firm favorite over there; although it is definitely something of an acquired taste!
