AT RADISSON BLU MALL OF AMERICA ANNOUNCES SPRING/SUMMER 2014 PROGRAMMING
Bloomington, MN (May 1, 2014) –FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar (2100 Killebrew Drive) at Radisson Blu Mall of America proudly announces new events and culinary programs for the spring and early summer season. The restaurant, which features cuisine from the Midwest heartland is moving away from the hearty cuisine of the colder months behind and into fresh, flavorful dishes, matched by equally refreshing new cocktails for the spring and summer season.
Big Wood Brewery Event
On Thursday, May 29th, FireLake and Big Wood Brewery will partner for the launch of the FireLake Farmhouse Black Cape Ale, the new specialty beer sold exclusively at the restaurant. To commemorate the launch, the two will host a unique five-course tasting meal, paired with beers from the brewery. Beginning at 6 p.m. with a gathering hour that will feature small plates White Fish Ceviche, Balsamic Caviar, Corn Salsa, Wild Rice, and Mushroom & Leek Croquette. Dinner service will begin at 7 p.m. and will include Porchini Blackened Artic Char paired with Jackpine Savage American Pale Ale; Bad Axe Brined Quail paired with Bad Axe Imperial Ale, Prosciutto Wrapped Scallop paired with Bark Bite India Pale Ale; Farm House Ale Braised Lamb Fritter paired with FireLake Black Cap Farm House Ale and Morning Wood Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding paired with Morning Wood Coffee Stout. The Farmhouse Black Cape Ale will be available beginning June 1, 2014.
Juice and Smoothie Bar Launch
Furthering the restaurants commitment to healthy cuisine and a healthy lifestyle, will be the launch of the Juice and Smoothie bar during weekday and weekend breakfast. The restaurant will begin to offer ruby red grapefruit juice, Valencia orange juice, blueberry blend, V-8 and Cranberry juice. Completing the fruitful additions will be the smoothie bar with V-6 with beet, carrot, parsnip, celery, radish and apple; Tropi “Kale” with kale, pineapple, kiwi and honeydew; Mango Morning with carrot, mango, orange and mint;Strawberry-Banana with fruit, apple juice and yogurt; Mango, Pineapple, Banana with fruit, orange juice and yogurt as well as additional Power Boost and Body Boosts for a small charge.
Spring and Summer Menu at FireLake
Just in time for the warm weather to arrive will be Chef Lynch’s updated dinner menu for FireLake. Items include the Heirloom Polenta with sautéed rock shrimp, spinach, tomato, basil and garlic; Steak & Prawns accompanied by white cheddar herb mashed potatoes;Deviled 3E x 2 of duck, chicken, quail eggs, two ways; Broiled Freshwater Prawns with heirloom polenta, rock shrimp scampi, grilled broccollini and Meyer lemon butter sauce. New sweet panini’s round out the new menu including the Gelato Panini with pistachio gelato, Door County cherry compote, Amaretto crumble and orange genoise and Ice Cream Panini with salted caramel ice cream, cashews, caramel, bourbon bacon and chocolate genoise.
Sweet Summer Sips
Providing guests of FireLake refreshing sips for the sizzling months ahead, the restaurant will introduce a series of new signature cocktails. Swedish Passing with Death’s Door Gin, orange liqueur, St. Germaine and lemon juice; Ginger Farmer with Crop Vodka, fresh orange and lemon juice, mint-ginger simple syrup and Fever Tree Ginger Beer andHarvest Mood with Parallel Vodka, vanilla simple syrup, fresh lemon and orange juice and Thatcher’s Blood Orange Liqueur.
